Price Is the
Dependent Variable
A thesis can be intelligent, well researched and ultimately irrelevant to investment results.
Markets are not examinations graded on the elegance of an argument. Profit and loss are determined by the prices at which capital is committed and withdrawn.
Fundamental work establishes context. Judgment defines the opportunity. Risk discipline sets the terms on which capital can be exposed. But price determines whether an idea is becoming actionable—and whether the market is confirming or rejecting the view.
Price is not infallible. It is final.
